MUSICwestport
Welcome to MUSICwestport: Where Local Artists Unite in Celebration of Music. The Westport Arts Council began, in 2006, and brought together like-minded individuals together – people with a vision to expand the artistic experience in our community and inspire all, including our youth. In the early days, MUSICwestport was the major focus of the council – a single-day outdoor festival event, with bands at three different locations in the village. The first festival was headlined by The Abrams Brothers and was a huge success.
In 2013, the Cove Inn began to play host to an annual Kick Off Party and Fundraiser Event for WAC, which really helped to round out the weekend for festival goers and general supporters alike.

The festival grew each year as did the vibe and the anticipation for MUSICwestport. The stage locations changed a bit but generally, all of the activity continues in the downtown core and the festival has remained a free event with incredible volunteer support, BBQ, KidzZone activities and Kids performers. World-class local talent of all styles of music have graced the MUSICwestport stages and we are all lucky to have been witness to a variety of music and performances which would usually be reserved for big city festivals.
The Westporch Festival
Westporch is an exclusive event where residents and businesses meet on front porches around the village for fun, food, and fabulous entertainment! Westporch is a FREE outdoor walking tour of Westport where front porches become a showcase for regional artists, musicians, activities, and treats.
There is always lots to do, see and hear so plan to be in the village not just for the day, but the whole weekend. Friday night is the official kick-off party, Saturday is the festival and Sunday is the wrap-up matineé.
